I do no know of any good way to convert a solid linkage transmission to push button to run in your '62. What you would probably want to do then is to find an aluminum push button Transmission out of a '63-65 Mopar RB block car and have it rebuilt with the late style torque convertor and front pump assembly. If your are going to upgrade the camshaft to be compatible with your dual quad set up, then a higher stall speed convertor and valve body upgrade is also in the picture, as are race ready clutch packs. You did not mention if the '62 transmission was for an RB series engine.

I have a 62 300 I'm putting a newer big block dual quad , it cost me 1000.00 dollars to have the 62 transmission upgraded to accept the new style converter. That includes rebuild and 2500 stall. converter.

If it has the aluminum case with the emergency brake on the tailshaft, that's a one year only deal so if you want to keep that E-brake you need to just rebuild that trans. There's no witchcraft involved because it's a 727 so don't let anybody give you a bunch of crap about special antique parts made of $$$ unobtanium.

If you want to run a highstall converter, have the front pump and input shaft updated to the later style, 67 and up IIRC. Lots of converter choices and cheaper than the few that are available for the 19 spline input.

Imperial Services used to sell a kit to adapt a pushbutton shifter to the lever style trans but I don't think it's available anymore. They're the same company that repops the shift cables.

Thanks for info
Dave it is a 361 car so it is a bb trans
I do have a newer 727 as well and new converter but not sure of stall
I am also thinking of rebuilding the late model with upgrades using a location shifter I have and be done for a lot less money
I have a e body sure gri rear that I would swap in for e brakes
