Mechanic and Body Shop Near Richmond, VA

I am looking for a repair shop/garage for my 1978 Chrysler New Yorker near the Richmond, VA area. The vehicle needs engine, brake and heating/cooling system work in order to get in roadworthy. I was going to try and work on the car myself but not having a garage to work in has made it very challenging so I have decided to take it to a real shop. Once the mechanical issues are corrected I will focus on the body of the car. I'm trying to bring it back to its original glory.

Ha! If I still lived there, I’d do it for you. You could try the shop I used to work for. Sportscar Workshops. They normally only do weird old European stuff, but they’ve taken mustangs, a ‘cuda, a model A, in years past. And they work on one of the owners’ 61 Bonneville. They might laugh a little, but all they do is antique stuff. 804.421.0295. I haven’t worked there in ten years, so I’m not sure who is still there or not, but give them a call, and use your best judgement.
