I would like to wish all members and their spouses/partners/family etc. a very Happy Christmas period and here's to a fruitful 2016. I am sure all members have earned a well deserved break from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

This site has actally become quite important to me, the banter between members is both informative and entertaining, and can really lift one's spirits on tough days.

Merry Christmas and a very happy 2016!

It is neat to be able to say that. Back in 50's we didn't wish people a Happy New Year, we hoped you would survive the pending nuclear winter. In the 60's we lived with race war, political assassination and drugs. In to 70's brought us oil shortages and car engines which were high efficient, but mostly useless. The 80's brought stock market crashes and plummeting property values. The 90's the death of the Fairy Princess and a slowly building belief the world was going to self destruct when 1999 rolled into 2000. The 00's started calm as people were happy to survive the clock change, but soon went to hell on 911. The 10's are still pretty confused, but after surviving the last 60 years, we will come out smelling of roses. So I say again, no matter what comes, have a Happy 2016!!
