Answered the phone. Knew exactly what I was talking about. Simple, effective communication.

Mine: 1966 Chrysler 300, 383 CID, 4 wheel drum brakes

Some of the lesser rebuilding places do not replate your housings. Your booster should be the gold zinc plated. They look like crap, if they just paint them black. Unless it's just a daily driver and you don't care what it looks like.

This is a well established shop that rebuilds all sorts of boosters, pumps, etc. for the commercial trucking industry. Of course they rebuild stuff for cars and light trucks too.
Plating is extra. My booster was black and was peeling from contact with brake fluid. Under the paint was bare silver metal. I imagine that if it was originally plated it would be evident. I once had a '68 Chrysler that was bone-stock. Its booster was black. Choice of color is a matter of personal taste. To me black is okay. If you have questions, their number is toll free.

If you have any corrosion on your booster, the platting will really show the pitting.

The Midland Ross single diephragm drum brake boosters were the gold zinc plated from the factory. If it was black, someone painted it so.
