C Body Bob
Old Man with a Hat
I parted my first car in 1979. It was a 63 Chrysler New Yorker. I believe I still have the cylinder heads buried in my barn. Anyway that was a different era. No internet. No swap meets. Not a lot of interests in any car that wasen't from the 50's. As the 80's came along I parted a few more & ever increasing & by the end of the decade there was quite the interest in A,B & E body stuff. I even got hooked up with a local old junk yard & parted a few for him. One thing that I saw a lot was many cars had a mirror in the glove box or console. Sometimes in a bag in the trunk. Just a regtangle piece of mirror glass. No border trim or handle. I thought that was odd but never really cared much more than that. Then one day I asked a guy while I was cleaning out a car & he enlightened me LOL. One of those "oh" moments LOL. Over the next few years as the 90's came along I paid more attention to the junk I removed from these old cars. I was amazed. Lots of mirrors, boot leg cassette tapes, knives, bullets, magazines, bail bondsman cards, you name it. Folks would leave it behind. That all changed as the decade closed out. The last car I've had that had a mirror glass was about 10 years ago. I bought a 64 Dodge B body car to flip. Now days I see empty pill bottles with no label. Bootleg CD's. I'm seeing a lot of symbols & some on jewelry. I'm not sure if it's a gang or cult or movement. What on earths going on out there folks. Ofcourse I still see a lot of receipts & parking/traffic tickets too
