Missing Carburetor and more found parts.

So, some of you know I am attempting to reassemble my dads (Polara_500) car. It was torn apart when he passed, and I am slowly working my way through it.

Thanks to @HWYCRZR for a couple days of assistance, betting the clutch, trans and bottom end in, and a start on the top end of the engine.

I have worked a couple days further with @LocuMob and @HWYCRZR helping through photos and texts.

What is left now: carb, plug wires, connect the exhaust to the NEW manifolds he found somewhere. Install the distrib and wire it. Then let's see if she runs!

I have it so close. next dilemma. the carb is MIA. The only thing we can guess is that he either sent or took it to someone to rebuild and then when he got sick it got forgotten....

so I found another crusty looking Carter AFB3856S and will be rebuilding it. Any recommendations on the best kits?

In my digging lately I have found a rebuilt distributor from @halifaxhops that I will be putting in. I also just found a billet adapter plate and dual master cylinder in a box that I assume he was replacing the single cylinder that is there...

Also, started looking at the wiring under the hood... it's crunchy, really crunchy. Guess Evans Wiring is getting an order for a new engine harness.

So, if anyone is a specialist at Carters that may have a carb from Mike Muir in Minnesota, I'd love to find it. Otherwise I work on the other one!

Next weekend I hope to meet a few of you in Minnesota at Mopars in the Park. Then I'll be back up there assembling again. Sucks that it's an hour drive to even work on it.

I received the harness from Evans Wiring yesterday. Nice work, clean and looks high quality. Hope to be installing it soon and we'll see how the connections line up!

Today she ran for the first time in years, got the carb set close I think...... timing is close also I think.

Has a slight miss, but I have a couple cracked plug boots, and the cap/rotor were what was on it, I think it's time to replace all 3 of those.

Now I need to find the clutch fork boot, the carb adapter for the throttle linkage and go for a drive.

Kinda fitting I bring his car back to life on fathers day weekend.

@halifaxhops the distributor you rebuild works flawlessly as expected.
