I see what you're seeing Stan and agree, that's got to be taken care of or it'll leave you stranded somewhere. Beautiful car! I wasn't happy with the Edelbrock 750 either, the 600 cfm ended up performing better on the 440 in my Imp.
 
I will reevaluate but keep in mind that the metal end on the carb end doesn't quite hit the metal end of the housing and it seemed to work very smoothly. I do think I can modify this to make more of a linear line. Thanks for pointing this out.
