A friend needs a good mechanic to do some mechanical work on her late husband’s ‘73 Charger. Appreciate any recommendations. I think it may have a bad lifter.

Smith Auto (804) 559-3700 is in Mechanicsville Virginia, about 50 minutes from Williamsburg. Charles Smith is a fine man. His family has been servicing cars since the 1930s.
Big Mo's (804) 366-0005 in Aylett Virginia is good with old Mopars. Mike (Mo) is about an hour away and owns a Duster or Dart about the same vintage.

Wargo Automotive In Chesapeake, Virginia (https://www.wargoautorepairchesapeake.com/), installed the exhaust system and headers on my New Yorker, also did window motor work. Amazing attention to detail, great guy, and he does a lot of well-reviewed engine work. He is more of a Chevy/Ford Guy but he knows quite a bit about MoPars. About an hour out of Williamsburg but worth the drive. Make sure to call ahead.
