Mopar Newbie

Hi everyone! Thank you for allowing me to join this forum. I’m pretty new to the Mopar world having been a Ford guy most of my life except for a 71’ Fury III I had as my first car in high school (biggest car in the school hehe!). But I have always loved Mopars. They really do have the best styling and characteristics!

Right now I’m restoring my favorite vehicle of all time...a 1978 Lil Red Express. I realize it’s not a C body car, but there seems to be a lot of similarities. I really need a factory CB/Radio with the black face to finish off the restoration to make it fit the period. See pic below. If anyone has one please let me know.

I think there was someone advertising a lot of different radios in Mopar Collectors Guide or Hemmings that I saw. I'll dig around when I have some time tomorrow and see if my memory serves me correctly.

you should join one of the dodge truck forums.
ps,if that radio you show you have already and it doesnt work,get it fixed.
thats a tough radio to find in working condition.
if all you can find is one that needs fixing,buy it and get it fixed.

thats a tough radio to find in working condition.
if all you can find is one that needs fixing,buy it and get it fixed.

Im on several Dodge truck forums but so far no luck. The picture is from another member on the LRE forums. I’m searching for a non-working unit too. Thanks

Hello from Minnesota. Those are fun to hunt for, I have a couple, but only one black face AM/FM version. You'll need the correct antenna if you plan on using it, or a compatible aftermarket one. Definitely share some pictures of the 'Lil Red, we love pictures.
