A 1956 Chrysler New Yorker. Chrysler christened the 1956 model year's design "PowerStyle," a product of prolific Chrysler designer Virgil Exner. The New Yorker gained a new mesh grille, leather seats, pushbutton PowerFlite selector, and a 354 cubic inch Hemi V8 with 280 hp (209 kW). Also new for 1956, Chrysler introduced an under-dash mounted 16 2/3 rpm record player, dubbed the “Highway Hi-Fi”, manufactured by CBS Electronics. A two way switch in the dash changed the input for the speaker from the all transistor radio to the 7 inch record player. The St. Regis two-door hardtop gave a unique three-tone paint job for a higher price and the Town and Country Wagon model was Chrysler's most expensive vehicle of 1956 at $4,523. This was the first year for the New Yorker four-door pillarless hardtop. Only 921 convertibles were made.

For Sale:
1970 426 Hemi Engine
This engine was removed from a 1970 Plymouth Cuda and has been in storage for an extended period of time. VIN was checked and the car it came from no longer exists. Casting date appears to be 5/26/69.
This is basically a long block engine. Includes oil pan, balancer, timing cover, intake manifold, valve covers, water pump housing, original manual transmission distributor and bell housing. I do not have the exhaust manifolds, flywheel, carburetors, pulleys or accessories.
No visible modifications, excessive wear, cracks or repairs. Retains the original, standard bore pistons. This is a nice core engine that will need to be gone through and likely will require cylinders bored over size.
Selling for $13,500.00. Must be picked up in Deptford, New Jersey 08096. Delivery to the Mopar Nationals might be possible. Contact me for details and additional pictures.

1970 Dodge Challenger R/T Hemi, triple black, Shaker hood, 3 fender tags, 2 build sheets, 4 speed transmission and a Dana 60 Super track pack will we offer at the Mecum Auction (lot S137.1) this week. Hopefully you will have an opportunity to see this amazing muscle car. Below are just a few of the outstanding original details of the vehicles when we checked it out. This Hemi was taken off the road in about 1977.
