Chrysler Parts Catalogs. We have purchased a stash of original parts manuals from years 1963-76. Most have moved on to new homes. I know we have 63,67,68,69,70 and 71 left. Fairbanks tells about being hired by Chrysler Corporation to make a hood ornament for their Plymouth automobiles. He sculpted one in the shape of a mermaid that the company representatives liked. So when they needed an ornament for their new line of Dodges, Fairbanks looked through his book on animals and offered to sculpt a horse, bear, or panther for their consideration. They finally agreed on the image of a ram. When the Chrysler people asked what the ram meant, he gave them a clever answer and the Dodge Ram was born!

1950'S Plymouth dealer emblem from San Francisco,Calf. West region code # 72. It is one of the coolest emblem relative to the Forward Looking cars that we have ever seen.

Body shop tooling. As requested, below the image of the trunk support that is used during the paint process of vehicle in the 1960's through the 70's. We actually have found a number of these before in between the trunk floor extension and quarter panel. We have recently used it on a few exact restorations that we are working on with our clients.

Does anyone know what this hard .250" w x 4" long x .100" thick flat steel item is or is used for in assembly? I suspect it is used in the body shop for something we can just not pin point at this time. I think it is gage of some sort. We have found these in many original 1968-80 B bodies through the years. Always found under the carpet and 80% of the time found under the front carpet set. We have started collecting them up a few years ago and we have about 10 of them.

The mid 1940's through 60's Dodge Power Wagons have been a very hot commodity over the past few years. I do not see that trend ending any time soon. Take time to carefully inspect the information plates that are on the A pillar. These are easily and often reproduced. We have been studying these tags before these truck were in demand. If you have any concern about a tag feel free to send it to us to get our opinion. Many of the trucks that we validate have aftermarket tags in place. It is not uncommon to find the incorrect year style tag in place
