I am looking for recommendations for old Mopar salvage yards. If you have visited a yard or heard of one please provide name and contact information. A phone number would be appreciated as in my experience many of these yards do not have a web presence. Yards with trucks is a plus but not necessary as I have A, B and C bodies as well as Trucks.

Benny Buckner in WV.... 304-920-1422. heavy on forward look. Mention Will sent you..... He'll charge just a little more....

O.K. 66/440. How far are you from LaGrange on 71 between Austin and Houston? Not all Mopars in that yard but a strong presence especially on the north side of the RR tracks lol. Yeah RR tracks cut the yard in half. The yard is located on the N.E. side of 71 right across the street from the Chrysler Dealership. Want the name of the yard goggle the Dealership in LaGrange and talk to some one that's been with the company for more then 6 months. Last time I as in that yard I counted 18 B-body's that still had double snorkel's sitting on the AVS's. Tejas ain't a big Mopar state, Jer

Jer, Thanks for the suggestion. I think that yard was closed and everything was crushed. There have been 4 to 6 really good yards with older stuff here crushed out and or closed in the past 6 or 7 years. There is a yard in Brenham Tx that I have been trying to get into for 10 years. Owner is in his 90's and still has some cool stuff, he just doesn't go out to his yard any more and neighbors are his watch dog's and are quick to report you even if you are just standing on the road looking. 4 years ago he crushed out 25 acres of vintage cars from the 40's to the mid 60's so he could sell the land under them. He still has 8 or 10 acres of stuff left that is slowly returning to nature. My understanding is that there are still a couple of buildings that have all the rare parts he collected for himself. Not all mopar maybe 50%. I spoke with someone that purchased a bunch of multiple carb and manifold set ups about 20 years ago. He showed me photos of Olds J2 setups, Cadillac 2 x 4's, Pontiac 3 x 2's etc. Would not sell the multi carb mopar stuff. So now it just sits and waits. I check-in with my sources there waiting for THE DAY.

Who knowz, could be closed by now 66/440. Been a few yearz since I've been in that yard. They crushed the part of the yard that was between the RR tracks and 71 in the late '90s, but last I knew they were trying to refill that part of the yard with newer iron. Not many people are into '30s '40s and '50s iron any more, lol. FWIW, Used to be an old bone yard east of Kerrville around Comfort on the west bound service road of I-10. That yard waz ALL MOPAR and all FIN Carz. '99 since I've been that yard but I'd guess it's still there and goin' strong. GL with your search, Jer

Not knowing what part of Texas... There used to be a yard north of Abilene on FM 600. It's been over 20 years, I don't recall the name. They had every car catalogued. You went to the counter and told them Chrysler and they handed you a three ring binder to go through an write down where the cars were that you were interested in looking at.

Edit:
It's still there FM 600 Wrecking (what a fancy name)

Awesome, I will add them to my list, which is getting kinda big. I put all the locations into googlemaps and if I made them all it looks like a 6K mile round trip! This one is only 344 miles away and I can make part of my Route 66 trip later in the fall.
