Did Mopar (or Ford, even) ever make a 16" steel wheel with a 5 X 4-1/2" bolt pattern?
Not a metric wheel but a wheel with RWD offset and back spacing.
I'll guess 80's D100 maybe?

Nobody here knows. I refuse to believe it. I thought there would be a 1/2 dozen replies in the first 4 hours.

That being said, I know places like Stockton Wheel have made 15" SBP wheels as the centers are the same size, the difference is made in the rim section.

I do not know if the 80's truck wheels share the same center standard but it might be something to look into.

Wheel Vintiques has a stock appearing steel 16" wheel with a dual 4.5"/4.75" bolt pattern but
A. It's pricey, and
B. I have heard not so good things about their wheels.

I was thinking used salvage yard type of stuff.
Ford Rangers have a 16" 5 X 4-1/2" but they are all stylized wheels and look horrible.

I just got a set of 15x6 WV steelies and they are fine, nowhere near as bad as I expected. Not A+ straightness/balance but solid Bs.

ive thought about Wheel Vintiques but what are some of the bad reviews u have heard I think for a plain steel wheel there 84.00

one of the yards here welds wheels together and sets cars on them,, its a travesty what you see welded together out there

I'm from the school where A+ is the minimum grade for a new wheel. That's WHY one buys a new wheel. Before the wheels went to China, all new steel wheels were A+.

Jeep 16". I have to remember that....

98 and up ford crown vic have 16" steel wheels, I don't know if they are 5 on 4 1/2 though might be metric

They are indeed 5 x 4-1/2. Their cop wheels are 7" and available with two offsets, med. and high. There is a problem though. The center hole is smaller. The wheels are too big for most lathes so you have mill them out. Four or five wheels would be too expensive to do.

I appreciate your perspective but for me, B grade is good enough. I'm just tooling around on the weekends. It's just not worth it to me to pay a bunch more for several grades above good enough. I'd also like all the furniture in my house to be carefully handmade by Amish craftsmen, but to get that quality is not worth the cost. To interthreaduate for a moment... I also just had a new house built that uses engineered trusses to create large, open low-cost spaces. The house is overall pretty cheaply made, but it's good enough.

That said, now that I have heard about Classic Chambered I wish I'd looked into them more. Next time.
