Saturday April 26 ...... Mopars at the battleship state park in Mobile Alabama.
A great way to kick off the show season with a huge Mopar show.

Add to that the Battleship , Alabama, a WWII submarine, A military aircraft display up to a B52, and several pieces of military ground vehicles and it makes for an exciding day on the north bank of the Mobile Bay.

The turn out usually includes several C bodys also.

I missed getting to that by 2 days last year. I was over in Fairhope for my sisters wedding. Had to be back for work... If any of y'all do get to go, be sure to go to Moe's BBQ in Daphne Al. on the eastern shore. Man I could go for some smoked BBQ and a couple Sweet Water drafts....:eek:ccasion14:

Will have to look for that ..... love that BBQ. The Blue crab, across from the battleship park on the delta side is great for the sea food lovers too.

Well ...... Mopars at the battleship has come and gone.
We made the 300 mile trip to Mobile in Jazebelle on A beautiful, sunny day..... top down all the way.

Saturday was show day and another "chamber of commerce" day at the battleship park on the Mobile bay. (I had a dumb a** attack and left my camera in the motel room ..... sorry).
There were over 200 Mopars in attendance ...... seemed over half of them were still under warrantee. I just can't get excited about the contemporary Challengers, Chargers, magnums and other (instant) collecter cars. The rest was the typical A, B & E body lineup. Then there were 3 C bodys ...... A 69 Fury III, A 72 Imperial coupe and Jazebelle. OH ...... and one forward look ... A customized 56 Dodge.
The one car that was a stand out to me was a 1969 Dodge Coronet R/T convertible ... restored to better then new in white with a white interior and black top.

The trip down, the seafood and some local cruising was the highlight of the weekend. Halfway home we ran into a thunderstorm from hell ....... but Jazebelle made the trip like a star.

Hey Mr. Bluefury, just planning my show schedule and was looking to return to the battleship show in Mobile Alabama. I happened upon a message you posted online about your experience at that show in 2014. I share your feelings about the amount of new generation muscle showing up. It's not my thing but at least the recreation looks more like the classics as opposed to the brand X attempted. The thing that caught my eye about your post was the kind words you wrote about our white on white 69 R/T convertible. I restored that car myself with help from a couple of great friends from our club. I'm honored to find articles about that build. It's really nice to receive such validation from my peers, thank you. I plan on being there this 2016, come say hey if you are going to be there.

Will, could I ask you to please increase your font size? That's blurry even with my readers...
