Are you talikd about the episode of counting cars with Elvira's T-Bird in Vegas? If you are...Elvira is still a hot old broad!

I talked to this guy when he had it advertised locally last spring, before I got my 65. (half the car, bur way less than half the price). I never looked at it, because it was way abve my budget, but it sounds like the real deal. He wanted 17.9 if I remember correctly. He has come down a bit I see. I would still love to have it, but way too rich for my blood.

I know you want this.............twelve grand and its all yours

12 grand? from 15,795? I highly doubt that......but you are right abt 1 thing - i do want it. It needs to go in the survivor tent next July!

and 12 is still too high.....11 and that wil give me enough to pay for the shipping as well

Well then call and make the offer, he'll have all winter to think about it...Ship it? No, No, No, fly and drive.

fly? @ $500+? (checked flight cost yesterday) absolutely not, it'll cost me abt the same to fly and drive than to have it shipped. i figured abt $1000 total, shipping willl cost bet $800-1000.

Need to call him this aft and see if I can get any more pics, i want to see the underside of that car.

Mark, I agree with Dave and everybody else on this thread about this car. It's gorgeous and I don't think you are going to find something better within your budget. CALL HIM and make an offer! All he can say is no. I would email him back through the ad also so he has a record of you and your contact info. Let him think about it for awhile. You know and the rest of us know that if it doesn't sell by Carlisle the price is going back up and even higher at Carlisle.

i intend to do so this afternoon, will let you guys know how it shakes out.

Too bad about the black interior. Otherwise I love it.

I think my color-blindedness kicked in again. That's a dark green interior, isn't it?

In that case I will give this my "approved" stamp. Car looks gorgeous. Like the paint shade (as far as I can see!) :icon_thumright:

Just got off the phone with him:

He says it has a few door dings, light paint scratches, etc, but the paint is original, so is the top, road wheels have been added, no rust or rust repairs anywhere, frt drum brakes, he is going to try and take more pics this aft and forward them to me. Also, he would not directly say, but the car can def be had for 15 and possibly for 14, but i'm sure no less, at least not right now. The color must be F3 (surf green poly). He has had the car for abt 14 yrs, bought it from the orig owner, it had 17K on the clock at that time, now it is close to 20K. This guy apparently puts the same tiny amt of miles on his toy cars that I do. It's been garaged it's entire life according to him, and from the pcis i've seen so far, I don't doubt that.

Looking forward to seeing the pics, but outlook not good $$-wise.

I agree... Not $$$-wise.
Nobody could or should buy it at 14-15.
He's not a serious seller.

sorry, then i'll try to figure something out. I downloaded them, but it's a zipfile so i cannot post them......they are decent pics though, pretty thorough
