More Mopar at Nats

Recognition is nice. Still have the pic of my 3rd place at Carlisle hanging in the garage.

Sure nothing wrong with this. However most pleasure I pull out of the few people that recognize what an actual gem an absolutely unassuming low line car maybe even a beige exterior and brown interior 4dr. stripper is that is nearly unmolested by impeccable care of the few owners and that maybe even still has saved registration with the original license plates.
Always had a passion for these and I own a few of them which are overlooked by many casual observers which is no big deal to me, but if a conversation starts with an interested party in these cases who can literally drool over any detail they turn out to be most interesting. Better even if a judge appreciates.

I used to be involved with a couple local car shows years ago and have done a bit of judging.

I was at one show and it came down to two cars for one particular award. I went back and forth several times on these two cars and couldn't find anything that swayed my decision either way. Both were very nice, very clean and equal in just about every way. The only difference was one guy had a bunch of trophies displayed and the other guy didn't. I finally decided that the guy with the trophies really didn't need another one.
It was a good decision too.... The guy that lost threw a hissy fit.

Good thinking.

It's in pretty nice shape but its hard to tell how many times its been shot.

The killer used a "Winchester pump" in Bullitt you know.
Just recently happened to read about this second Charger RT camera car somebody claimed to have found and offered it for a cool 1 Million in January; proof seems to be blurry though.

Is that what they offered you for the Challenger convertible ? :)

Not quite that much!

It's just not that easy....

I always concider my car as my favorite trophy......

However recognition and awards from my peers is quite gradifying. Jazabelle has done well to be awarded something in every show she has appeared in so far....(Including three all mopar shows). The top being the "founders choice/best of show" award at the "Mopars at the Battleship" show last March, and a top 20 out of 400 cars in a recent local show.
