The Wire Car

The infamous wire car. Here you can see a pic of the wires (cables) used to support the body. Also Carlton sold the car to a local bracket racer & her husband. Betty Sigmon. She was at a race at Shadyside dragway outside Charlotte,NC. The track had just been repaved. Betty & several others crashed that day. The car was bought & rebuilt & now belongs to a collector.

I bought the Nov 70 issue of Super Stock & Funny Cars Magazine with this car on it. The pic on the cover was the right front corner but basically the same pic. I still have the mag.
