My 1966 Chrysler Town and Country

I ended up getting this car from my grandpa that bought it new in 66. It had been sitting in his garage for 25 years before I got a hold of it back in 2010. It’s been a lot of fun getting it all fixed up and running again.

When I originally got the car I found his Chrysler "Certicard" in the little sleeve on the core support. That was exciting to find.

Right now the car has about 75,000 original miles.

Yea I wanted to go with a factory style wheel and I found these in 15x8 and 15X10 for out back. I did have to modify the rear fender release mechanism to fit the 295's in the rear though.

Great car, fantastic work on that exhaust, but I gotta wonder about the placement of the tail pipes. Every wagon I've been in with the pipes straight back, a lot of fumes came in the car. Hopefully this is not the case here.

Yes wagon tail pipes need to come out under the rear quarters, not in the back. Have you driven the car with that exhaust in it? It is a beautiful wagon for sure.

Yea, unfortunately it does put a lot of fumes in the car with the rear window down. I rarely drive with the window down so it doesn’t bother me much.

Had an idea to contact the original owner of my 64 880. The gentleman is still with us at 93. His youngest son contacted me with some great, stories of back in the day. His son is fairly local, and we plan to meet up and get a few pics taken and get some more history. He is jazzed it is still around, and I still think it's a cool car 20 + year later of my ownership
