My 2000 Ram

When I think back to high school in rural Minnesota, holy ****! Good thing the apple got a little distance from the tree.

I won't give up on the boy. He's mature for his age so I forget that he's a kid. I need to stop doing that.

I glad to see he is alright. The truck can always be replaced. I have a step daughter that was going to do whatever she wanted no matter what. The cops were at our house every week while she was in school. And if you can think it ,it happened to us. We finally had it and on her 18 th birthday we threw her out. She did show up a year later and moved back in only to be almost thrown out a week later. She is now 33 married and has two little girls and still has her issues as we all do. Don't ever give up on them it just take time for them to grow up.

Looks like he went off road a bit. Luckily he didn't hit tree straight on. Glad he's OK.

Thankfully no one got hurt. One day you'll laugh about it. I remember my Brother was driving Dads prized Buick Lesabre. It had the speed minder, and I would set it just to hear it buzz as I would dart into turns or come out of them at night, etc. Anyways he thought it was cool as well, doing the same thing hit a tree and kept on going. He thought a branch had touched the 1/4 panel. Nope, smash the entire panel. I don't know who was more surprised, my Dad or Brother when he pulled into the driveway.

Got 4 kids, three of them are boys. Ages 28, 25 and 17. Love them all. They are all very different from each other. So far...so good! Glad to hear your son is okay. You can always get another truck.

He might take care of his next truck a little better....since HE will have to pay for the next one.

Not that it matters here.........

I was the oldest of seven.....I didn't get a damn thing ever from my parents...and I never expected to get anything from them. I was always giving them stuff (that they needed) and cash to them my whole life.

When it's all said & done I'll end up buying another vehicle since faced with the catch 22 of can't get a job without a car.

I graduated from from high school at 17 & moved 4 hours away from home to Minneapolis with no telephone. Leaning on my parents for anything was not even an option so I learned to do for myself.

I never had kids so I have to keep my mouth shut.
That reminds me....
Nick, how are you doing today?

It ain't easy, Stan. You want them to learn to do for themselves but it's really tough to watch them struggle.

Thats a "copout" ezcuse Ross. Let him go for awile and see how creative he can become. Theres plenty of ways these days to earn a living without even leaving the house.

Unless the conditions are extreme then enabling does nothing to motivate.
Tough love.......
