My 2018 RAM Longhorn

Pretty sure that’s part of the two tone package you have. The really did a nice job of that I think.

Yes Sir,

That 2 tone paint Delmonico Red Pearl and the Brown Mettallic looks outstanding. I couldn't be happier!

All right, Bob. Enough of this new truck thread. . . What are you doing with that yaller Newport?!? I'm still dying to see it out on the road.

The truck is pretty much done for now. I do have some under hood kits coming from Billet Technologies.

Nothing for now on the Newport except collecting parts.

I have to finish the NYB before messing with the Newport. The engine alone is $6500 and I'm adding a lot of new parts too. Radiator and entire cooling system, new carb, ignition system, motor mounts, and a lot of smalls, etc.

Well. . . Ok. . . But hurry up :poke:

Haven't received the recall on the Ram for the CC yet but I did receive and had the recalls for my 300C corrected for the CC and AutoPark systems.

I didn't know 300s had the autopark system. Is it the one where it parallel parks by itself?

Does your 300 have the 5.7? I didn't know there was a recall on the CC (mine is a 2013)
The parking assist feature on my old 300C (2006) included the sensors that beeped when backing up to warn the driver of distance until impact. The 2013 doesn't have the beepers any more, but I'm thinking Chrysler probably eliminated them when the reverse camera became available.
If the new ones can park themselves, that's news to me, but I could see it on the 300 since its their luxury car.

I haven't figured out how that AutoPark works yet. I do know that it has Park Sense and Collison Prevention or Avoidance that has automatic braking and alarms. Has Lane Sense and other stuff too. Also cross traffic alarm too when backing up.

Mine is 3.6. Mine is a 17 and has the backup camera and front and rear sensors that beep along with a proximity screen on the dash.

My parking assistance: Right outside rear view mirror to get as Close to the Garage wall to provide three row parking. I'd be deaf already if I had to do this with this beeping devices.

No self parking on the 300 but some of the systems are part of the self park feature on the Cherokee and the new Ram.

The beeping was a PIA in the beginning, but after driving the car daily for 5 years, you don't pay any attention to the gd beeping.
I don't need the camera, but it does make backing into a spot a breeze, so no bitchin here on that feature

All this crapola on these cars makes me really appreciate my ‘95 LHS all that much more. I drive my dad’s new Pacifica on occasion and I do not like it. When was the last car built that did nothing “by wire” because when I have to replace my LHS because it’s rotted out from underneath me I’ll know what year to concentrate my search up to. The wife’s ‘10 Tiguan is still very tolerable.

That's what I use fins for plus the rear vent wings 24/7 as an AC. Times have changed a bit lately, I guess. :)
