My new `67 Imperial Crown Coupe!

Drivers side door jamb near the hinges.

Even today an assigned VIN has little relationship to production dates. I've had VIN assigned vehicles take 8-10 months to get built for one reason or another while the same model ordered later with a different sequence shows up sooner. And if it gets assigned a VIN for one model year but is carried over to the next year it gets re-assigned a new VIN and the old one gets trashed

It would also be on your title, registration etc..

I was 18 in 1967.
1967-50=1917.
So when I was an impressionable young teen coming of age at the peak of the muscle car era, looking at a 50 year old car was like looking at a Model T.

Perspective . . . .
I conceived in the summer of 67...
August 23, 1966.
Coulda been in your back seat... :thankyou:

So in one way or another our cars are just 950 apart.

Missed by over a month lucky he even opens the power vents for you. :).

That is a early build date have you ever noticed anything that changed later in the year, what was the production number?
I know the early 67's like mine didn't have the drivers door window /doorlock controls illuminated like the later 67's. The later Imperials also had the ATC I think.

Decided to tackle the lower control arm bushings since I've been without power in my shop since Wednesday. I got everything apart and removed the outer sleeves from the arms and got the new bushings ordered. I just have to clean everything up before pressing the new bushings in and reassemble. With that I will have done the whole front end with the exception of the lower ball joints which don't feel like they need to be replaced. I'm noticing several damp spots on the cooling fins of the radiator so it looks like I better ad that to the to do list.

Is that a vintage bungee cord ?!?

I've had them for a few years and they just paid for themselves not having to open the brake fluid system.

Thanks Hemitheus. Power came back on early this afternoon. I found out when my alarm company called to tell me it was going off.
Back to work!:)

I did not expect to find my lower ball joints to be the originals!
And yes, hose....
