My new 78 NYB

Picked this car up here in Texas on a trade deal. I'm guessing I have $800 in it I plan on driving it alot next Summer. I'm planning on swapping intake for a Eddie aluminum and swapping dis for hei. Also considering purchasing the Fitech system and installing it on the 440. I am the third owner I tracked down the pervious owner and he bought it in the early 90s. Only put a couple thousand miles on it when he had it. Any input would be appreciated thanks in advance .

So I was minutes from getting the Chevy throttle body conversion for mine but my wifes $4600 transmission crapped out. So car money got tight LOL. Ive always had incredible luck with Chevy TBI. I called and talked to them and I could get the whole setup for around $840 IIRC. No learn process and cheap replacement parts.

I'd like you to post what you find... but I'm still not quite able to get fully behind any of these conversions. I suppose the swap could be pretty close for a cruiser... but so could a carb...

I have used this stuff with pretty good results. I'll put another condition coat on this spring.

Yep I have heard good things about Hide Food.
Haven't used it though as Leatherique was recommended by some on the Auto Geeks site to be a better product for penetrating sealed leather.
Next time I need a leather product I will give the Hide food a try .
