I figure several of you have heard of George Laurie, but for those who have not he makes new plastic lens. He is from Australia and if you are lucky enough that he has already made a mold for the lens you need, he will make you a new lens.

I had seen some lists of lens he makes but there was never any 300 lens on the list. I found an e-mail and wrote him directly. He has one mold for a 300 and it was the one I need.

This is what really surprised me. I had this conversation a month ago with him and placed the order and sent my money and received it today. I couldn’t be happier with the workmanship.

I have seen a few sell on e-bay since I have been looking. The last pair I watched sell were said to be NOS but they where yellowed. George doesn't keep an inventory, he makes them from his molds when he gets an order, so I was impressed in getting them in a month. The postage indicated that it was shipped on the 22nd.

I was like a little kid at Christmas opening up the package. There was a little damage on the outside of the box which made me even more anxious that there would be no damage.

That was basically the last big piece of the puzzle. I have a back seat panel coming from Murray Park and I will have everything I was looking for. I can't wait to get her back on the road complete.

Are they exact copies or do they miss codes/lettering you usually find on them ?

I will have to look that up. I know he won't make a new mold without an original 1 in perfect shape to make a mold from. I'll look tonight and let you know.
 
Thanks, just curious. We have some bad *** test engineers in Germany that actually test if the proper codes that confirm to be legal are on such lenses. But they tend to die out or go to retirement.
 
Looked at his website.....wish he made front turn signal lenses for '70 Fury. But then he would discover that Superbirds use these and the prices would be double.
