68 newport power brakes

the symptom: when it's cold the the brake pedal is very hard to push down and very hard when coming to a stop almost like it wants to blow though the stop all together and scary the crap out of me(stops on a huge silver dollar). after i drive it on the highway for about 10 minutes the pedal feels find and stops on a nickel just fine, and some times it goes back to that hard pedal feel. i've had my brakes serviced at A & A Automotive & Transmission Repair (the only shop i trust) they replaced 13 feet of steel line, replaced the rubber lines, shoes, cylinders (the issue had been going on before i've got my brakes serviced)

is it the brake booster going out? or some thing else i need to look at?

booster is not making any hissing sounds or vacuum leaks

soon as some life events hurry up and pass i will get to it

thankfully my newp is not my dd

When you say "cylinders", I have to ask if that includes the master cylinder. "Cylinders" in this context may imply only the wheel cylinders were replaced.

Check the source of vacuum to the booster, The hose it's self and all connections.

i will be replacing the hose as well

yes wheel cylinders only

i'm thinking of getting a loaded brake booster with master cylinder from advanceauto, it's the same thing from o'reilly and i get more of core charge back #thumbsup and it's cheaper than rockauto

replaced the booster hose, it was barely hanging on @_@ and had no life left in the hose when i replaced it...

the check valve holds good pressure the grommet on the other hand is going out too couldn't find a replacement. i put some No Oxide grease around the contact areas on the grommet...

i've yet to do the brake booster...

i take it back, drove the car today and the brakes pedal seems a lot better than what they were pedal feel is where i like it to be. last week i just started the car to ran ot for a few minutes and checked the pedal...
