N - VON Any info on this?

The car in question is BH23H2B451025 .
It has an N that starts the VON.
The car has special order tires on the build sheet.
Does anyone here have any info or have any of you seen an N at the beginning of the von?
Alleged to be a secret service car or law enforcement.
As far as I have seen cop cars start with a K.
Any info?

N means it was a special order. The T99 special order tires would trigger that. Y15 is "Direct Sale" so wasn't sold at a dealer?

The N00840 is the lowest VON I have seen also.

The BS and tag show Y39.

There are lots of Y39's out there but non that I have found have an N for the von.

There is a page floating around somewhere on the internet showing what each letter means on a VON. I believe the "840" means it was the 840th special order car made in 1972 with that VON.

The 1970-1974 list doesn’t give away the answer, but it does show how you could start finding out more. Look at this:

K - Y39 = Special Order
K - Y39 = Special Order/Police
N - Y39 = Special Order

First step:
Special Order/Police is mostly recognizable by F sales codes, so that should make it easier to distinguish between the two K VON possibilities.

Second step:
Some non-police special orders get K, others get N. So you have to compare N VON cars against those K VON cars in order to understand why this is so.

Side step:
Maybe just Y39 in combination with a non-letter VON should also be taken into account, if such a configuration exists.

As VONs are administrative in nature and not related to production sequence, it may be more proper to say it’s the 804th N VON assigned.
