Born 1922 and died too young in seems at age 67. Actor-singer.

Recognized for her smolderling, dark-haired good looks and her acting work as well, sometimes however known more for her three marriages as those three guys -- hardy", "jazzy", and "blue" -- between them had 20 (yeah, twenty) wives.

From the golden-age of leading ladies .. a screen icon and pinup girl, her career spanned the 40's to the 80's. Voted one of the 100 Sexiest stars in film history. one my favorite actors from a gone by era.

a big life for this pretty little girl from North Carolina. Look close .. for me the eyes, the smile, and the chin allowed me to recognize her.

Always liked Ava Gardner. First recollection was in Show Boat, somewhere in the 1960's when I first saw it at a 50-cent matinee. It was made in 1951 but that 's before I was made. It was love at first sight for me -- Kathryn Grayson was the darling good girl .. and Ava stole the show for me though .

One of the biggest hits this century so far, sued by Marvin Gaye's estate for drumming similar to Got to Give it Up. I have it on my Apple Tunes, turn it up, and drive really fast .. its got that kinda beat to me.

Born 1934 in the 15th arrondissment. She is still living, with this pic of her in her late teens.

Retired before she was 40 after becoming one of the most recognized celebrities in the world for much of the 1950's up to the early 1970's. Controversial figure for next 45 years, her positions are kinda polarizing.

Her pot-stirring in her later years can't erase the time she was biggest, best, brightest, "beautiful-est babe" in the world. She's here in a few places in this forum .. even sharing a 2015 thread with her contemporary Marilyn.
