Should be fairly easy. Very popular singer in the nineties.
IMO, the best, technically, popular singer since maybe Streisand.
The ballads show her true talent.
 
for me, easily recognizable from the pic ... she didnt change that much. world famous good pipes. sad story however.
 
Yep, it was an easy one.
The Cicely Tyson passing just the other day made me think of her is all.
Whitney’s aunt most all know is Dionne Warwick. Her cousin was Cicely Tyson.

Some of the greatest ballads ever. Nobody could slide from head-voice to falsetto to full-voice as effortlessly as she could. Just a powerful very well trained voice.

this girl was born in 1953 in phoenix az, got married in 1962 to a musician that lasted 7 years. married another musician the following year. in 1961 released 2 singles that did not do much. in 1970 she resumed here musical career with help form here musician husband. it was in the mid 70's that she had here breakout single. hottie back in the day her marriage lasted for 33 years until is death

I know this one. Local girl. Her husband played the local clubs here in the 60's and early 70's.
