Need some input on pricing a truck bed

I've got a short bed for late 70's Macho Truck. Should be correct for 72-80 short beds I believe.

It's in excellent shape and only has one bend which a body man tells me would be minimal time to fix and not rusted

It looks a lot better in person. I should obviously get a pressure washer and blast it out real good.

It is very sold with no rust through and appears to be original paint

I'll work on getting some more pics up this evening if anyone can give me some ideas. I don't have the tail gate unfortunately

I advertised it on CL locally and the only interested party told me no way he'd go over $500. I was asking $750 .. I know they are tough to find in nice shape here

I see guys on eBay asking $500 to 650 for the beds.

You'd think it'd be worth what you're asking, I think that's a fair place to start. Follow the advice that we all constantly dish out to guys selling selling there cars on Craigslist and wash the damn thing! Lol! Oh yah and don't take the pics while its still wet!!
I had one of those Macho package pick ups and I would love to have another.

Ah Good Friend of mine that's supplying Banana Dude with some of hiz new toyz hauled back 6 "Arizona Clean" bedz to Michigan when I contracted him to deliver my Hurst to the guy I sold it to south of Phoenix and he had no trouble selling those for $500- $600 and that waz back in '99 and they were all Chebby short bedz. It's way easier to come down ah bit in price then it iz to raise it. Just saying, Jer

Do you have a tailgate for it? I'd go $750 with a good tailgate and taillights, if they were good...you have one lens gone and the other broken, too. As it sits, dirty and missing parts, $500 would be my top price to pay.

Fortrucksonly.com is a ghost town. There's one guy who post constantly.... he's the only one with 1,000 plus posts. There threads go for days not being answered..... there's a few others that post, but not much.

I'm never desparate for cash to the point where I'd run an ad on moparts.

I don't think $500 for what's there is cheap, it's realistic. No lights, no tailgate.
