Hi guys, new to this forum, hope you can help me, I have a 1973 Imperial that needs a torsion bar seal (name listed in FSM) I have been calling all over the country and it looks like this is a one off for the 73 Imp. Its not a dust cap, it is a large bushing/seal that isolates the torsion bar from the cross member. Any help would be appreciated. John MacDonald, 73 Lebaron, 65 Crown, 64 Lebaron.

Welcome to the site from the Motor City!
My '67 has torsion bar isolators that are vulcanized blocks similar to engine or Trans mounts. They are not available in the aftermarket but there's a company called Then and Now Automotive that rebuilds your old ones.

Thank you DetMatt, I did talk to them, and yes these 'seals' are more like isolators as you describe them. Then and Now can rebuild them but they need to produce a new mold first, yikes sounds expensive so I am exhausting all alternatives prior to that option. btw I am originally from Flint, worked at Buick City for 9 years and now am a Mopar guy, but I do have 2 genII Camaros. Thanks. John.

Call Murry Park, he may have a parts car but there's no guarantee that they'll be any better than your old warn out pair.
