This is Quirey bottle he messaged me a picture of the tank before Murray started offering them. It was cool to see them done since he used my NOS bottle to do the images and measurements.

Manny is the one that pushed this reproduction bottle to the finish line with Quirey Quality Design. This latter company specializes in producing reproduction parts for the Chrysler 300 Letter Cars and other older cars that Gary Goers used to reproduce primarily for the Forward Look cars of the more distant past. I worked with Gary Goers in my youth and he helped me restore my 1957 Chrysler 300C a very long time ago now. In his later years he moved to Kalispel, Montana and he passed away not too many years ago now. He was a super guy and produced perfect parts and interiors. He sold his company to Quirey Quality design just before he passed and I went over his options for a company that would carry on his legacy and we both concluded that Quirey Quality Design would be the optimum choice.

Since we are talking reproduction parts I might as well also add that perfect reproduction 1971 C body positive and negative battery cables are now being produced by M&H Electric Fabricators, Inc and they even have the correct connectors in their positive cables that the original fusible links connect to. I tried to get Quirey Quality Design to make these but ultimately gave up with them and then M&H came through with them instead. They even have under hood correct 1971 C body model wiring harnesses that I am using in my restoration projects. They are just super to work with: They are located in Southern California actually quite close to where I live. Their harnesses might likely also be correct for 1970 and 1972 or other model years as well, but you should check with them first about application and/or compare your cables to similar 1971 C body vehicles (my applications are all 1971 with 440 engines).

The 1971 C body positive cable is part number 41487 and the negative one is 01575 and they can be ordered directly from M&H but the engine wiring harnesses have to be ordered through Year One and to accomplish that I had to call Year One to have them walk me through the process but I did get them and will be using them soon.

The market for $400 old, yellow and brown washer bottles with holes has just been torpedoed, haha.

I still have about 4 nos washer bottles that are in their original boxes in parts cabinets in a pretty well controlled climate that still look like brand new with no yellowing or anything else. But surely the market for yellowed old ones has now tanked.

Surely, with a hundred bottles made the market for the older yellow ones will not disappear.

Pun intended, LOL? I have two in decent shape and now wonder if a brand new one would feel out of place in my refreshed engine compartment, but then again FOMO might push me to spend the money.

I do think however that originals will always have a place in restorations where only original parts will do.

I'm glad this has finally come to fruition! I posted one to see if the demand was still high for used tanks a day or 2 before this news went public. I'm glad it's over. I was so nervous working around original tanks. These replacements look very high quality and I cant wait to have a few.

A wise guy might buy up the supply of new tanks, only to list them at a high price on ebay down the road, when all sold out (or sell them out of the trunk of his Imperial).
Who knows - the black market for old tanks may rebound.... haha.

He test fit the preproduction sample and it looks and fits perfect. He says you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between an original and his reproduction.
