New Addition to the fleet

Hold it, the paint code is CC1, that's light blue ???

Aahh. . . Baby Blue. Its a nice color. Once upon a time, I had a '61 Ford Galaxie convertible in that color with a white top. It was a good looking car.

congrats on your new car.

Yep, light blue indeed. And while I don't have 10 laying around I do have a spare fender or two, so why waste time cutting out the rust?
It looks white in the pictures, at least to me on this computer.
I would keep the original as a spare if it was me. You never know what happens, and they ain't making any new ones.

Oh, if it's semi usable I don't throw it away, that's why I have so much crap I can't hardly move in any of the garages.

Nice car indeed, and look at that console, I am sure that's a rare option.
Cleaning house a bit and came across this one so I thought I'd share this about the Polara 500.

A version you can actually read as well:

Ummm, now I'm gonna have to go have a look-see. The hardtop I put a Monaco interior in back about '80 or so, so don't remember what the old ones looked like. The convertible I didn't really pay attention as they need upholstery so bad it wasn't worth really looking at, but I think it's a different design although what that is I can't answer now.

That's not what the front seat backs look like in my car. Do they look like that in your 2 cars ?
If, (and I mean if), you assume the shine on the seat backs is shiny vinyl, then the seat backs do indeed look like what's in both of these cars. Perimeter is vinyl to match the seat color surrounding a carpet panel that matches the floor/console.

Doug,
finally got the comparable fender tag I promised. (Another on the firewall, by the way.)

Looks to be a 99 under the tag, no clue what that might mean. The white book is spectacularly unhelpful on some of these codes.
For giggles, here's the other 65 Polara 500 convertible so they're both in the same post.
