Facebook is OK... Like everything else, it just depends on what you are using it for.

I get to see pics of my grand kids that I might not see otherwise. I've gotten back together with some cousins that I had lost contact with. That's great for me since most of my own siblings have passed on. The local community has a couple groups that I follow so I know what's going on around here without getting "involved". The rest is pretty much all jokes. I avoid the politics and my stuff is set to "private".

The car stuff is pretty much just looking at pictures. No real tech to speak of, and when there is a tech question, it usually shows up as someone that needs to be reminded to breathe in and out everyday. The answers aren't much better. It is really nice to read of upcoming events and that type of thing.

No one has ever asked me for money.... I only have one friend from high school on there and yes, Zuckerburg is from some other planet, but I really don't care.

Maybe Chico, CA has different demographics than Fumbuck County.
Fumbuck County (Highlands County, FL) has one of the highest unemployment, poverty, and crime rates in the COUNTRY. Yes, the Country.
Half the Enfamil purchased by Food Stamps you and me end up for sale (for cash or drugs) on FB.

In the wake of Hurricane Irma, the wholesale rape of FEMA by this County's leaches and blood suckers opened my eyes on just how bad free loading is considered a right while the truly impovershed still remain unaffected by "government programs"

The FEMA response here after Irma payed out millions but really helped nobody.

I agree with you. I, too, have had fun writing to cousins I've seen once in my life because we are separated by a country. It's been fun. Many of the people I have met on car sites are on there as well. My Uncle, the last surviving member of my Dad's family, is on there and I truly enjoy bantering with him. It's been a joy.

Given the choice between Not having a Facebook account and finding rare Mopar parts on FB, I still choose Not to have a Facebook account

I broke down and made an account while searching for Formals... I can never find anything someone else tells me to look at, the few cars I found that might have been good deals were old ads and long gone... I gave up.

When @commando1 joins, I'll bug him for a tutorial...

That generator I was whining about is now mine... the guy's wife got reimbursed by her employer to buy a new one AND they have submitted to FEMA for reimbursement.

After a decade of sitting in my storage untouched, the poor gas tank needs a lot of love or replacement... but I promise if I had fixed it, it would have been sold to someone else. He gave it to me, and now wants to bring 2 cars by the house for my services. Win-win? nope.
