Unfortunately he had to bail out on it. It's heading to a new home - hopefully mopar friendly.

Just to let you guys know, I replaced the brake booster myself and the car ran great. But last Wednesday on the highway, the car overheated possibly due to crud in the oil pickup, and developed a knock. I shut the car down immediately and had it towed to the shop. With moving out of state next month, rather than get involved in a possible costly and lengthy repair, I sold the car to a very happy new owner, who has the time and space to take care of it. I miss it but at least I got to own a cool c-body that I always wanted.

You gonna tell the new owner about this place? Will you be looking for another Chrysler? It CAN be a rewarding experience as you no doubt know.

I just told the new owner about this site. He's pulling the Monaco's engine this weekend. As much as I love '60's Chrysler products, I've spent so much money on them over the last several years that I may not own any more in the future.

Guess ya gotta do what ya gotta do. This "hobby" of ours is not for the "faint of heart". What's your buddy doing with that 383....rebuild time? The 383 is probably one of the best engines Chrysler has ever made IMO. The rest of the car looked like it was in pretty good shape.

The new owner loves C-bodies; he also owns a '67 Fury II, and I could tell he really loves the Monaco. This weekend he's going to see if the crank or bearings were damaged. Really I don't think I could have found a better person to take care of it and he's even promised to send me pictures.

Good. I HOPE we don't see it in any demo derbies
