New from indiana

I'm too dirty for a white interior I think.

2 of my cars will be white over black, 1 because I want it that way, the other because it left the factory that way. Being dirty does worry me but I guess I'll just be careful.

I normally really don't care for the '69 Plymouth or Dodge at all because of the flat front and rear ends, but this one is an exception. I could even live with the green paint because of the white interior. Really nice car.

Also note that this is an early '69 without headrests (presuming that interior trim is original).

The idea that a white/light upholstery shows dirt is a bit of a myth, particularly if it is leather or vinyl. I find a black interior shows every bit of lint, pet hair, mud, whatever.

Good point Greg, much like black paint on a car

I've never had a white interior on any car that I've owned.

Hope you like green. LOL
We post a lot of For Sale ads from other sites.
Keep your eyes peeled.

Here's a starter:

As much as I dislike green, I would trade my blue on blue 69 Monaco 500 for this white interior.

In the early '80s I had a '77 LeMans 2-door, light metallic blue with a white PAINTED roof from the factory, white vinyl interior with blue dashboard and carpet. A real "summertime" car. Looked awesome. Should never have sold it.

I did really like this car, but my red 300 with the black interior was my first car, so it won out on my keeper list.

This 300 went to Minnesota. The carpet, dash, lower carpet on the door panels and the drop center rear seat panel were black and made a nice mix with the white.

That's nice Has2b, those cars look great with those road wheels.

That is just beautiful!!! How many cars do you have now? Could you post a group picture on a new thread so we can find the pictures. Thanks.

I dunno about the white surfaces not showing dirt vs. myth. My 70' Sport Fury, 70' Imperial and 73' Charger all had dark interiors, the in fact the Plymouth's and Charger's interior was all black. They NEVER looked dirty, just slightly dusty! if no one rode in the backseat for a long time, lol. Can't say that for cars I have with light interiors.....not even white, but gray.

Well, for these cars today the point should be moot anyway. They are not being used as daily drivers to construction sites, hauling kids to soccer games, etc. They are hobby cars, and if you don't keep the interior and exterior of your hobby car clean, well... :nono:

Greg is right, why worry about the dirt if its not going to see dirt anyway. Choose the best color interior which we all know is white and be done with it.

This was from a little over a year ago, back up north. I lived down a very long dirt road. Had no choice sometime's. However it did get cleaned A.S.A.P.

On the same note though.. Mine serve as daily driver's quite a bit sometime's. Hell the monaco has always had my back whenever one of my trucks went down. One year I had to drive it once the snow/salt disappeared, till the next fall when it came back. Currently my newport is serving as daily driver for the last month or so. The truck is down, and monaco getting body work. She is a little dirty, but nowhere near as dirty as the above pics. Nice thing about FL though, I can drive em year round with no worries!

Mine's a daily driver also....wouldn't have it any other way...but I go through extraordinary measures to provide adequate upkeep. I guess I'm addicted to turning that key and hearing that gear reduction starter spinning...and then vrrooooom. I had a Cadillac DeVille DHS once and although I liked it, it just wasn't the same.

I still have way too many vehicles and need to part out 8-10 and sell about 15-20 project cars. The only one that I have done that is for sale is the blue '84 Ramcharger.

I have a picture link below my avatar that has miscellaneous pictures, but I could scan a few more and organize them better.

<--- The picture link should be around here...
