A new Mad Max move just came out in theaters a few days ago. It really sparked my curiosity having enjoyed the earlier films that stared Mel Gibson. This new film has a different actor playing the role of Max which doesn't really bother me that much ,but what I do find troublesome is all the rumors I am hearing about this being a pro feminist propaganda film. I guess it doesn't surprise me that much since the director George Miller has pushed some of his political and social beliefs in some of his other films. For now I think I'll save my money and not bother going to see this movie. Maybe some time in the future after its been released to DVD I'll be able to pick it up in the bargain bin for real cheap. If anything it will make nice drink coaster!

Don't worry, Hugh Keays-Byrne is back as "Immortal Joe":

Saw the flick at the weekend. Full on from the start, but just found it a bit odd. As with most modern films, story line and character development both thin on the ground.

The combo of the first two Max films packs a mighty punch. Hard to live up to. I still find the first film both edgy and disturbing. Timeless.

The fil won't be the same without the Toe cutter

Mate, you NEED to see this on the big screen. Trust me.

Hugh is one of my fave actors ,Never got the recognition he deserved

Jings ,How revolting how can a woman let herself get like that
Because our society coddles them Disability payments, free medical care and transportation, mobility scooters, home care workers, taxi rides, and prime parking in front of Walmart in the area painted blue.

You really didn't need to do that....please delete immediately
Sorry but I couldn't help myself. I felt like I had to stir up some controversy. I think you're making too big of a deal over my thread. Everyone has a right to their opinion and this is a general discussion forum. So why can't I bring up any topic I choose. I don't necessarily agree with all of the replies posted by some of the other members on this thread But I still respect their opinion and think they should be free to voice it. Besides everyone will eventually get bored with the discussion and move on to more interesting things. All will be soon forgotten. The only thing that will be left in the end is an old" Mad Max Fury Road" DVD sitting on somebodys shelf collecting dust never to be watched again.

I guess George Miller was onto something. Put a blond female behind the wheel of a semi truck and you get total mayhem.
I'm just kidding. Don't take me seriously.
The truth is I'm not really bothered by the fact that the lead character is a female but rather the controversy that was stired up over the movie recently. I don't know whether it was some type of marketing scheme to get people to watch the movie or people over reacting to some silly internet blog. Either way it leaves a bad taste in my mouth . I think its pointless and stupid for people to get all worked up and bent out of shape over somebodys criticism of a silly action flick.
