Hi guys, I'm Alex from the Netherlands. I'm a long time fan of classic MOPARs especially Chrysler C-body.
I've owned several C-body's the past decade (68 NY 2dr, 67 300 2dr, 68 300 2dr) and switched from 2dr to a station because the family was getting bigger.......although it's a beautiful car/ design and it's impressive to see it drive by I've never enjoyed it as much as I did with the 2drs.
So I'm currently selling my 68 TC (6p, 383 4brl) because I'm interested in buying a 65 NY 2dr (love the dashboard design in the 65/66) or a 65 NY six window sedan (first sedan that caught my attention, I simply love the windows in the c-pillar)
I've enjoyed reading the past weeks and I think you've got a nice thing going here!

Alex

Back at my old house....and yes they fitted through that garage door....with 1/2" free room on each side.

Hi Alex,

welcome and have fun.
It has been a long time since I last saw you.

Best greetings from germany

Carsten

Welcome to the site from the Motor City! Nice slabbies!!!

Welcome to the forum. You have had some great c-bodies. I am with you on the 65/66 dash. I love the dash in my '66 300, one of my favorite points on the car.

Thanks guys.

Meanwhile I've sold my 68 TC and I'm left with an empty garage.....a 65 NY would fit perfectly..

Hope to see you soon Carsten, I can't make it to Herten in august but the Chrysler classic meeting in Boxtel is on my list

Alex

So you fixed the Auto-Temp a/c on your 68 New Yorker yourself! I am impressed! It is only the second version 1 system that I have heard of that actually works. Congratulations - you must be a genius! I have never tried to fix one of my cars with the system, but I am going to give it a try. Welcome.

Genius....don't think so.

Regarding the ATC 1 I replaced all vacuum line sunder the hood (were all dried out), soldered the vacuum tank, resoldered all connections on the circuit boards of the amplifier, put in NOS push button switch, vacuum controlled water valve and later also the water valve thermostat modulator and finally found out the check valves that switch different vacuum signals were all leaking (dried out rubber), I tried to repair them but didn't get them to work properly and made new ones by combining several valves of a bicycle tire. Adjusted the system according to the MTSC 68-4 and it worked perfectly.

This was 10 years ago, the guy I sold the car to enjoyed it for 2 years and then sold it to the next owner who had a leak in the AC system, didn't pull the connector of the RV2 clutch, the RV2 ran dry and got stuck and he took out the whole AC system....
I think I have still some parts of the system lying around.

I say Genius. Or at least too stupid to not know that they are impossible to repair...
