welcome to the site , love your cars.
Thanks for the responses. The convertible has just over 600,000 miles and its 3rd engine, a 76 318. I have done a lot of body repair to it too as it was my everyday car for 28 years. I've had the hardtop for 9 years and it has 238.000 and a '72 318 engine with about 48,000 miles. I'll post more pics soon. I drive these cars all the time as long as the weather is good.
Hello, I am from the South Shore not far from Plymouth, MA.Welcome from a Proper Bostonian, born and raised.
Where in Mass. are you?
Here are some pictures of my '67 Fury III convertible from 2000 to present. It's not perfect but I really this old gal.
Yes this is the same car in all the photos. I repaired the body rust in 2000 and then had the fire in 2005. Everything from the windshield to the rear cowl was destroyed. I lucked out and found a parts car (convertible) that I was able to use its interior, rubber parts and wiring etc. For all this car has been through, I have to say that it goes pretty good.

I am ashamed to say that the fire was caused by my carelessness. It was a super hot August afternoon, almost 100 degrees, and I was welding a small piece underneath on the frame. The rear carpet caught fire and traveled to the underneath part of the seat cushion. I could not believe how quickly the fire blazed up. The engine compartment, trunk contents and thank GOD, the fuel tank were spared. The fire department did a great job keeping the situation from becoming really bad. I really gained a lot of respect toward fire after that and still to this day feel really guilty for being so careless. I am so pleased that car was able to be brought back afterwards. One other thing that really hurt was that I had just had a new top and rear window put on the week before which of course got ruined. If I may ask, what was the cause of the fire? Electrical?
