66 fury update- engine

Havent been able to do much on the car since recovering from broken back. Off work for 6 months with all the time in the world but barely any energy or money to get crap done on it.


Anyways heres some engine bay update pics from last 2 months. So far...

Rebuilt carter afb carb
resurfaced heads
new gaskets everywhere
new water pump
new t stat
new hoses everywhere
new fuel filter
tune up
oil change
new radiator
new electric fan
new windshield washer resevoir and pump
reattached wiper motor
chrome valves cleaners breathers brackets
Chrome tranny pan, gasket, filter
wire looms, hose sleeves, wire shrink wrap
sandblasted and repainted bay and headers
installed a nd wired hidden ignition killswitch
attempted electronic ignition install and still troubleshooting as ive never done that before

Dam that engine compartment looks nice you used 3 inch lowering blocks in the back correct?

Yeah lowered front with torsion bolts out pretty far and then lowered rear with 3 inch blocks. Im installing air shocks in the rear this weekend tho
 
How'the ride, now?

Drives soooo much better just getting it back to optimum stock performance. When i got it it barely moved and had every fuild and exhaust leak I didnt do cam lifters or anything like that nor have i got the electronic ignition to work yet. Now my only driveabilty issues are the brakes which i need to bleed and the height. Im scraping everything unfortunately plus the sob is hard to get into with a bad back. But other than that im happy with it. First real project car and i feel like im learning alot between this site and youtube
 
Added a scoop just cuz

Cut the hood and Added a six pack scoop with rivets. Now i can actually shut my hood after carb spacers etc...
