Just drove out to Rockford IL to get a 1974 Dodge Monaco U-Code 440 ex-Washington State Patrol car. Someone Bluesmobiled it but it will be getting De-Bluesed. Still on my way home!

nice find. midwest cars don't tend to get past me and my network. i would not have been a buyer in any event, but my plan would be along the lines as well. 'De-bluesing".

congrats.

Formal Pursuits prowled the streets when I was young...you knew if you were caught you could not get away. They still have a look about them that says "all business".

Headed back US 20 through Iowa, already in South Dakota. I'll be home Sunday afternoon.
Car is all there, just wish the guy hadn't let it sit outside for 15 years. It was a nice survivor 25 years ago. Its pretty far down the line for me, want to do my 64 Dodge WSP car 1st.

Congrats to that awesome find and also thanks for de-bluesing it!!!

I actually have 2 NOS rear bumpers. One is a little better than the other from shelf wear.
Dare I ask WHY would somebody disagree with these bumpers????

It's got to be about time for a new picture of this beast to hit this thread. I'm not sure I seen a debluesed mobile before? I'm kinda curious!

It's in deep storage for the winter. Need to get my 300G back on the road first.

Elwood: It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
