New trim clips, by the Lens Guy

@Tom Stroud I finally got a chance today to look through my parts catalog. There is a crazy amount of clips made by Chrysler. None of my clips are used on your Fury. These are probably the only clips I will ever make because of the unique "L" shape, generic clips won't work.

That is to your benefit however. Here is a great place to to find something that will work for you. Remember you won't find your exact clip but one that will work for you. Mr. G's Enterprises - Auto Fasteners

Thanks for the link. I could post pics of the 2 clips just for fun and fodder.

Here's pics of the 2 plastic clips used on all exterior chrome.

The top clip is basically just like the one I am making but flat, so they would take the same push rod and o-ring. The second one I have never seen before. It has an even smaller push rod. That would be a 1/8 which I am sure is available. I have 1/4 and 3/16 nylon rod.

Those look useable for a mold. Do you have a total of at least 4, in similar condition?

@Eec1904 sent me clips months ago and it took me until now to figure out how to duplicate them. I have successfully duplicate the first one of 3 clips used for the lower trim on the 1965-6 Nyer and 1965 300L. I also have the similar style used for the 1966 300 lower trim.

The next set of clips for the same area. These are similar to the upper clips, they have nuts on the back so they slide onto the trim and are located in area where they are accessible from behind, such as the tunk.

The white clips are mounted to the car with a push pin, and then the trim snaps into place.

Mike: Looks like I'll need these clips, in addition to the others you produced for the upper trim on my '66 300. Please accept this note as my request for any and all other clips you produce that I may need for the trim on my car.

Thanks again for taking on such an important project.

Thanks, unfortunately it appear they are different for 66 but with the white push pin style you already for the lower trim. I might be able to modify the ones above to make hem work for the 66.

The NYer trim is wider and sits up on the lip, were the 66 300 lays flat below the lip. Otherwise some donor clips will be needed to make a mold for the 66.

I understand. . .

I love it when you look all over the internet for a specialty item, in my case an acorn style palnut, find one place that sells them, but my minimum order is 12,500 at 40 cents each. I go to my local hardware store and the have exactly what I need, and I can buy a dozen or just one.

I would be interested in a full set of clips for my 1965 300L, mine are all baked and failing. I tried sending you a PM, but your inbox is full. :)

At that quantity they should be about 3 cents each!

With an excellent copy from @JGC403 I am able to add another clip. This is located on the upper trim on all 65-66 Chryslers. It is the leading edge clip of each door, so only 2 are needed for a 2 door. They are almost always intact if you know where to look for them, but are often snapped off. Thanks Christopher for the excellent original.
