I have a hip disease that's similar to displacia in German Shepherds. When I was 45, the surgeon said it was 50/50 which would come first, retirement or a wheelchair.
Screw him....

Must of been tough sitting behind the wheel of a big rig for 10+ hours a day.

My usual cocktail three to four times a day: was:
3 Aspirin + 4 Advil. On rare occasions when I could score them, I would toss in a Percodan or Vicodan or two to the mix.
Now I'm down to three Naprosyn at the end of the day.
Or twice a day if I'm working on the car.
And my stomach is fine....

Have to take that recipe down for later.

When I had the Percs, and it was after I got home from work, a beer or two to wash the entire Aspiran/Motrin/Percodan cocktail down finally made the pain go away.

It would be your liver that I'd be worried about...

Stan will be driving 30 years from now running over / sideswiping trash cans.

That would be norm here. Yesterday I was greeted by a wrong way driver who looked to be in his 90's

I had safety yellow something on the old front bumper of my NY'er from the previous owner.

None of those old geezer's need to be behind a wheel. We had a lady here drive north in the south bound lane of I95 a year or two ago. Luckily she got stopped before killing anyone -- 87 yrs old. She didn't even realize what she had done and still wanted to keep her drivers licence.
