Hi all, my name is Justin, im from New Zealand, and i have a 67 Fury 3 hardtop. It has a few mods, most noticable would be the bags and 4 link in the back. Undergoing serious rust repairs at the mo. Could put up pics if you have a bodywork or resto section here. Anyway, a quick pic of our gal before we pulled her apart

Really nice. Can't believe these are the "before" pictures.
I notice its got right hand drive. I thought this Plymouth body style with right hand drive in your part of the world was sold as a Dodge Phoenix. I'm confused.

Hi there Jim, over in australia ma mopar sold the dodge phoenix, and yes you are right, they are a re-badged fury, altho i am unshure if they came out in pillarless as ive only seen post models. My car is a Fury, it was assembled in Canada as a special export model and sold here brand new in 67, altho she has had a ruff life, the piles of bondo ive been grinding out are proof of that for shure!!

Hi Justin.
Yep you doing one hell of a great rebuild on the old girl.
Aussie had tighter rules on importing cars than New Zealand.
early 30s-40s Car in Aussie were repaneled to fit the laws of the time.
New Zealand just imported from Canana or the U.S.
I had a 1935 Airstream built in the U.S. came to N.Z as a whole car not as parts,
Most car were reasseable in N.Z. like most other cars of the time.
Car put together in N.Z. were mainly Plymouth rebadge to Chrysler.

From another part of the Commonwealth welcome! Great to see such skilled restoration work being lavished on a C body:sSig_goodjob: . Keep us posted!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, i kinda know my way around a mig welder, but these repairs take me a long time, cause im not a professonal panel beater, i am also awful with a camera, but aretee, you have a good eye for photos, as those two photos you mentiond were taken by a friend who is a keen phographer, his shots are very kind to the car. He is also a genuine wizz with photoshop and can photochop any mods you are thinking of onto photos of your car so good you cant really tell. Real good for seeing a design before you build

I don't know about any other years, but I have a factory brochure for the Australian 68 Dodge Phoenix (re-badged 68 Fury), and it shows both a 4 door hardtop and a 4 door post sedan. The 4 door hardtop had reclining front bucket seats with folding center armrest (buddy seat) between them. The 4 door post sedan had a bench seat with folding center armrest in front.

Cool, thanks for that info jim 68cuda, i will have to see if they have many 67 4dr hardtop phoenixs in the wrecking yards over in australia, that would make shipping of parts to NZ much cheaper then shipping over from USA. I actually dont recall ever seeing a dodge phonix in person here in NZ, have seen a few right hand drive furys around, altho still havnt seen another the same as mine.

Here is a pic of the seats that came in our fury, they are just plain one piece bech seats. Our fury was not highly speced, just tint band on front screen and am radio

Thew are being re-spung and re-foamed, and being re-upholstered in black leather in a custom design. hopefully it will look good, alot of people ive talked to rekon this design will not look good, but in my head it fits just right with the style we are going for
we are going for a retro diamond button tuft on the back, with matching lines and a single row of buttons on the bottom, here are sum pics, but you gotta use your imagination
