Thanks Sporty - wheels I'm all set on. I am still looking for a few parts but geez these guys have no priority to get back to you. 30+ years of finding Mopar parts for all kinds of stuff and this car is the worst to find stuff - or even to get responses from.

Engine runs good - no noises, good oil pressure. I'll be upgrading to the Pertronix tho - it doesn't run really smooth with the single point and I'm not in then mood to keep dickering with the points.

Rant on - Whoever designed the method of attachment of the front fender trim, and the application pattern for the sprayed in undercoating on these Imperials should be covered in honey and left to the ants.... Rant off....lol

Latest update for a while: Engine's done, engine compartment and parts are ready for spraying, but after patching a bunch of areas trying to save it, the hood is no longer considered "fixable" without another hood for parts. So with the missing big parts the project is mothballed until I can get the hood and door. Let me know if you have the parts listed in the Wanted section, especially the hood and door.

I may have missed something, but your Imperial has 5x5.5`` bolt pattern and the Chevy wheels have 5x5´´.

Someone mistakenly wrote 5x5.5" bolt pattern for the Imperial and the GM truck rims. They're both 5x5" bolt pattern.

It,s worth it for the seats alone.The quality of materials was excellent back then,really lux.Love the squarish pattern on the seats.B.B

Update - re-arranged the garage to fit it - but she's inside. I can only work on one end or side at a time but it's in. Rear axle's going back in, new leaf springs, new shocks, new stainless lines, all new brakes and hydraulics, all detailed. Fuel tank's getting cleaned and some stuff's coming to get that back in.

Its on Imperials up to '66 5.5" bolt pattern... '67 up changes to 5" bolt pattern!

yep , i even have a pair of 57 imp rims 14x7 with 5 1/2 bc . was a common deal to put imp 14's on ford f100's .

You are a living book on the real old school hot rod. I hate that term, old school. 90% of of the "old school" crap being marketed out there never was a "thing" in the first place. Knowing what old wheels would work going into the junk yard without the internet was old school.

internet what ? its just the crap that gets stuck to your shoes as you walk though life i guess , lol . i look hanging with the real old school guys that build there own stuff . my friend butch , he is just that . he is a wounder of craftsmen , i don't even compare with his builds . here is a flat head digger he built from scratch . with his our hands , and his old tech machines .
