Old article in Hooniverse.....comparison of three different design eras for the Newport model -- 67, 73, & 76. I don't think the 73' is the best representation of that era. 73' was "semi-fusy" IMHO, a transitional road to the next design era - the Formal. The two do not play well together.

You're right though Gary, they didn't do the fusie any favors in this poll by using the '73 model.

I'm in a quandry.
My 76 NYB is the best car I have ever owned. I love it and will never give it up. The problem is that it was also the worst car in the world to work on. Nothing was easy. Everything was a ballbreaker and expensive.
BitterSweet is rough. It needs countless details tended to but the car is so freakin damn easy to work on. Parts are plentiful and cheap if you don't mind DD stuff.
I'm having a blast with this car.
So, how can I choose between the two? I won't.
