Bob, somewhere in these pages you swore no more projects and your next car would be an Imperial.....

I wanted this Imperial so bad! We were too far apart on price.

I always say, never settle......... Sometimes you gotta bite the bullet.

Everything I have or am associated with is because thats the one I wanted. Your Newport is NICE, dont get me wrong....BUT if you wanted that IMP, then you need to find a way to make it happen.

I could of bought 7 Newport's with the money he was asking for that Imp.

I took so much abuse being into Mopars in high school. To top that off, not even the "hot" cars, I liked the big cars ..... and have been Thumping my Polara chest since the late 70's

Boy do I even sympathize with THAT! When my friends were crazy for vettes and trans ams, I was all about Town & Country station wagons and the like.

I'm in a position that I can pull the trigger on any car (lest a $1M Superbird).

Even though I really wanted that Imp..........I won't pay more for it than I think would be a fair price for condition, mileage, etc.

So how about following up the Newport poll with a imperial poll? Or sedan, hardtop, 4-door, Vert, or wagon?

Because there would be no point...convertibles would "win" the poll due to their desirability in the car hobby, even though 4 doors outsold them- meaning they were actually more popular with buyers at the time. Also Exner, slab and fuseys will be more popular than formals because the new generation of people that grew up the same time as the "smog era" cars are, in general, less interested in the car hobby. Car show attendance is on the decline as the "car generation" or baby boomers, whatever you want to call them, get older.

Good Point. I personally like 4-doors over rest. I know im weird, but I have a family, and before that I had friends, and a more door makes sense to me. I love watching my little brother struggle to get his daughter out of his Monte Carlo...

Not to take away from the fun of the vote but only those with one of each as DD's should be allowed to vote.
I know the impracticality of that but...........

I see your point Stan, but I think many of us here (myself included) have owned, or at least have a lot of experience with all three versions and can make an educated comparison. Plus, there's the visual impression too.
