Chocolate Cream Stout? Puke! That's not brewed by the Jos. Huber Brewing Co. is it?

Not sure, I did not buy it, sounds terrible. Chocolate and beer do not mix.

I need to set the record straight on this beer. There is a chocolate barley malt which just refers to the roast of the malt and the Cream Stout is a style of beer no cream in this beer either. Understandable confusion because I have seen both in beer.

By the way it is an outstanding beer.

I like the carton anyways! Hoppy New Years! ( like hops in beer...did I really have to explain that? ?

And here i am slumming it tonight with some DFH 60 minute ipa and some hop stoopid.

Sounds like the Velvet Merkin I had recently which is offered by Firestone about 200 miles south of here.

I still prefer ales and lagers, though.

Hop stoopid good. I just grabbed a sixer of Chainbreaker White IPA by Dechutes in Oregon. Never had the sixty minute, how is it? and who's DFM?

Dogfish head. 60 is ok. Their Squall IPA was my favorite. I just love a bottle conditioned beer. Tney've hinted theyre brining it back, I hope they do.

Just drank 3 Smithwick's Irish Red Ale to get me into a receptive mood as the wife has invited 3 couples over for a New years party. Grrrr! Not much one for sociability, especially after driving a transit bus all day! Grrrr!

( but the ale was gopod! ) (guess that ale was really good as I can no longer spell! )

That Imperial chocolate stout was pretty damn good when I had it a few months back. I'm sipping from my Goose Island winter sampler currently on their experimental beer.

Sounds like we need a Best Beer While Working in the Garage Thread!

What's wrong with chocolate and beer?

I can't believe you asked that question Dave. I am a purist. I don't need these stinking pumpkin and Christmas ales with pine needles, cranberries and orange peels.

There is a nearly endless supply of unique beers with just the different roasts of barley malt, hops, water, and various strains of yeast

Sorry boys, I'm not a connoisseur... I like my beer cold... I don't even understand all the finer points mentioned above... Just cold, please.
