Agreed, nice car!

I will half to say that thing is PERFECT! Color, Wheels, Vinyl top, Everything. That car would Round out any Mopar Collection if I had to Buy a C that car would be it.

With the car looking so nice after the repaint, I would have expected them to reinstall the wheel lip moldings. I also noted that the dash is cracked as is the steering wheel. It also seems curious that the seats were redone (very nice job though) after only 61K miles, but then maybe the car came from a hot, dry climate, which is why the trunk looks so good. I would expect it would go above 10K on ebay before the flurry of bids is over near the end. Very nice overall.

Seats can crack in a cold environment. ....dash too. All fixable yet the average schmo doesn't know where to look for repair options

And I always thought cold climates were good for those vinyl seats! All I know for sure is that out here in California, those dashpads and seats wouldn't last long out in the sun. For that nice of a car, I would get one of the dashpads from abcmoparts (Bob Baker) and install a very nice repo.

I was a bit surprised the bidding was that high already, its already at the range where I see it selling for.

Dave

Two "shills" if you want to call them that. One has 115 bid retractions in 6 months and most everything he has bid on has been in the first 12 hours. I've seen this one before.

Holy cow !!! Definately an ordered car !!! Unreal... You just dont find the later monaco's like this !! Holy cow !!!

It's strange how he says: "the title is in my personal name" when NY never issued a title for 1972 model year vehicles. It could be titled in another state, but then the seller has zero feedback.

I had to go back and look on the screen....The moldings missing is a good point. I know why some do it, but look at that trunk floor. I sure wish it hadnt been repainted

Look at the rust on and around the fender tag. Makes you wonder how much repainting was done to dress this car up. Still a nice car but needs an eyeball on the actual car inspection.

I tried to get this one to join up with my '72 Monaco. I need another car like I need another creaky knee but hey, i got the "fever". you all know what I mean.

This thread got my attention over the weekend, so I saw it in person yesterday (its actually near my "summer home" in WNY), was there with a cash deposit but the guy (straight-up, decent cat) knew what he wanted for it and declined to take my "dead Presidents".

its not my place to broadcast the full details of what is going to happen with this car. plus i don't wanna ignite a debate about the price. i am a broken record on this but my thoughts are it is whatever willing buyers and sellers agree on in the end.

the guy showed me it had over 150 watchers as of sunday morning. in fact it crossed $9,000 while i was standing there. Folks seemed to like it, so figuring it was positioned for late action, when i got home i tried a "kamikaze" thing with about 15 seconds left but didn't get in (damn frustrating too..i got a fast computer and hi-speed cable internet too)

So now with a bit of "loser's remorse" on my part, it was darn nice car. solid, clean, original, ran strong, didnt smoke, everything important to me worked, and the only things "rusty" were bolt heads/exhaust clamps and the option tag.

The person who got it will really like it I think. And its not leaving the USA I was told so maybe some of us will see it around. Please - no offense to our FCBO overseas members -- but you folks do get lot of the good C's heading your way .
