Fair price for sure!

I think I've seen this 1971 New Yorker before, but can't put my finger on it. Assuming the seller is legitimate and the car is solid (despite the time spent in the snow), the price here makes little sense to me -- as a driver, this car should be great.

A GY9 Tawny Gold NYer similar to this car, with the same V7Y Gold stripe, was listed on Kijiji in October of last year. That car was said to have an E86 engine, but I could not get to it on time. This one in BC has a 1977 440 installed, but a 2-speed wiper -- whereas the E86 NYer had a 3-speeder.

Reminds me a lot of one that was on Facebook Market a while back around Yakima, Washington.

My dyslexic tendencies read the last line in the ad as a car you’ve got to dress up in a suit to drive. I mean, really, proper dress should be exercised as a passenger in it.

You guys really know how to ruin someone’s dreams. Having said that it’s hard to believe the price. Wish I could just go see it but 1500 miles kind of hampers things.

^^ Check the add....it says $5000 not $3000.
Yes he increased the price to $5000 from $3000 since it was posted here. Still waiting for a response from seller. Looks like the ads been around for 2 months

Nice NYer. I bought a ’70 NYer 4dHT from nearby, Tacoma WA in 2009. Cost me 15 hundred to have it trailered to a shipping port, which happened to be in Galveston TX. - All it took me were two telephone calls, a few e-mails, and a wire transfer. All went just fine.

It said 3K, so I was right, I knew something was wrong, i've already found someone in Vancouver to go look at that today, glad I came back and checked, its just not worth it now as the shipping is up towards $2500 to get it here.
No biggie, I'm out

Who in their right mind drives a classic car in the snow, and puts a buddy out there to get a pic, and then posts that blurry pic as if it's some kinda great selling feature??? SMH...
Smog engine, howling rearend, peeling paint on fender - not sure it's worth $5000?

I'm sure if your friend has an appt to see it today he will buy it regardless. Been for sale 2 months so doubt anyone actually got to see the car as most would have cash in hand and it would have been sold at 3k or 5k.

that car has been for sale for several years now.
even if you arent a local bc buyer it can be really hard to sell a c body here.
or any old mopar thats not a muscle car.
this car, even with the 77 motor, noisy diff and needed paintwork seems like a good deal to me at 3k cdn$

Same guy that pays to post a car for sale on Craigslist, when everyone else in Canada uses Kijiji for free. Seems like these Craigslist ads only come from British Columbia, I could be wrong though as I haven't been on Craigslist in years. I'm going to have to check in. They're "Best of" Craigslist category is always a laugh!
