Looks like two differences. The mounting bracket and the pipe.View attachment 102773

Are those for the same side?View attachment 102773

I don't think the Challenger tips are that expensive. Dale's sells them for $240 for a pair versus $1200 for a pair of NOS tips.If you're going to hack a set of costly B/E tips, you're better off starting from scratch with cheap universals.
Don't know, that picture is the one Billy Fury had on his GT site. I think the normal routing for exhaust pipes is inboard of the springs along the gas tank. The '71 Fury GT seems to break the rules, the pipe passes outward over the springs and the runs outboard of the springs. That's why the GT tip has the hanger and the offsets in the input plumbing. There were a number of questions about this strange routing when it was shown in CanCritter's '71 GT restoration. Are those for the same side?
I don't believe that is the correct routing for those exhaust pipes. The '71 Fury GT seems to break the rules, the pipe passes outward over the springs and the runs outboard of the springs.
YUGE difference.
I didn't either until Paul's exhaust guy dug up a factory pipe than runs from the muffler to the tip. It still had the factory part number and the Parts List agreed. The only way it would fit was down the frame rail, over the spring and then parallel to the outboard side of the frame. I looked it over on Critter's car and it sure looks happy with the strange route. It also places the tips further apart and, I think, they look better than mine which follow the frame rail.I don't believe that is the correct routing for those exhaust pipes.
cool tips , and commando1 is that a tip for us on this coast , new pres ?
