I should qualify, got excited seeing a survivor of one of those. Very cool! Could be worth every penny to buy and restore. I've seen the early letter series for sale in the +$100k area but, these are asking prices, would need to see actual sale prices.

20k for car, 20k for rebuild of motor, trans, brakes, tires and exhaust, 12k for new top, interior and carpet, 5k for surprises plus shipping=approx $60000 as another member here whom has one stated they are a money pit and at this price point you may never sell it for anything close.

Yeah but if your going to be upside down in a car what a great car to be upside down in.

60 k for a 57 300 convertible, upside down?

I saw a 57 D500 convertible a few years ago at Run for the Sun in Myrtle beach
It was gorgeous
Asked the owner who was quite aged the kind of coin involved

his reply, once he got me out of his wife’s hearing range was $135,000usd

Now that is a cool car. I can see it for going for quite a bit more than $20k.

Sign me up if you can find one of these cars done for $60k.

Thanks for sharing.

Are we looking at the same car. I just looked now, and saw this:

Bid History 57 Bids
High Bid 25,100.00 USD

Was it relisted?
That's for the 300D. Should've started a new thread for it...

Sorry, didn't mean to muddy the waters.

Anyways....the 300D convertible sold for $81,000
